A Busy Monday

Today we went to Honest Weight Food Coop, I helped teach the flamenco class for elementary school students, and we went to see a really good old friend. I also made two more banana breads. :) A busy day, to say the least. Since I was out of the house for most of the day, I made the gazpacho we had for dinner today last night. Here is a picture (I was going to crop it, but something happened to our computer, and it threatened to crash, so, yeah, that's why it's not cropped). Darn, it's really blurry, but here it is:

Gazpacho made from canned tomatoes, onion, green pepper*, cucumber*, yellow squash*, parsley*, olive oil, and spices. On the side is some corn tortillas, black beans, and avocado*. A large portion of the meal was from food Rachel brought home!

The Daily Roundup Of Food Rachel Brought Home: mustard greens, kale, collards, avocado, green, red, and yellow peppers, parsley, potatoes, celery, lettuce, yellow squash, more bananas @#$%&! , peaches, strawberries, grapes, some stale baguette that will eventually be made into breadcrumbs, and possibly more stuff. Someone at my mom's office also left some biodynamic asparagus, so I'll probably use it tomorrow. That's all for now. :)

what's biodynamic asparagus?

Biodynamic gardening is a method that predates organic farming by about 20 years. The philosophy behind it is that it seeks to work with the health-giving forces of nature. I think it also has something to do with the moon, but I could be completely off base. :O

I really like the pictures of your food outside. I know, I know, I should give it a rest...

Your oatmeal pudding below sounds interesting. Looking forward to your recipe post.

Kai, I totally agree with you. In fact, my pictures that I take inside are horrendous, and I'm embarrased by them. Tonight's dinner was outside, so the pictures are really good, if I do say so myself. :)
